Christmas has passed on to the New Year

Every year Christmas gets a little more crowded, not with people and packages, but with memories of Christmas past. Each year brings new ones, good and bad, happy and sad, thoughts of family and loved ones who will never share another one, children who have only just begun to store up Christmas memories. The one thing you can always depend on is having Christmas emotions. They bounce in your mind like a super ball out of control. The joys of youth when you pressed the paper tight to the box to see if you could make out the contents or got a gift you never dreamed to be so lucky to receive. The pleasure of having someone you love to spend the day with just to feel warm and secure in having them in your life. The first Christmas with your child and all the wonder in their eyes. The year you did'nt have your Mom or Dad, or brothers or sisters, any more and you feel so lonely even though you are sorrounded by others. The times when an Uncle or Aunt, cousin or friend had just a little to much Christmas spirit and showed their, well you know. Some years are diamonds and some are stones, but all are Christmas. I guess we all lose sight of the reason for the season sometimes. This year I had the sheer joy of seeing my only grandson walk for the first time and I will never recieve a better gift. I am looking forward to the New Year hoping for a more prosperous enviorment for us all. What a great time to look ahead and plan for all the memories to come.
